Route advice - South to the city

I'm looking for advice on the best route into the city from the south. I'm right until around Wooli Creek when the bike tracks stop, and not sure of the best way through Alexandria, and down to Circular Quay. Any advice on suggested routes or roads to avoid would be fantastic.

I commute regularly from Cronulla to Wynard and pass close by Wolli Ck. If you came over to the cycle path along Airport Dve you could then follow the route I take into the city centre. In summary after Airport Dve I travel along Coward St to Roseberry, left into Gordon St, across Gardeners Rd pedestrian lights into Primrose Ave, over to Rothschild Ave, Joynton Ave, left into O'dea, right into Bourke St, left into Powell St, right into Young St, right into Phillip St, left into Baptist St, follow Crown St all the way to the Domain, up behind St Mary's cathedral then use Macquarie St to get to Circular Quay.

I find it a fairly safe way to travel through the inner suburbs and city. There is some heavy traffic around Coward St but it doesn't seem to move fast. There are less busy variations you can try when going through Roseberry/Waterloo/Redfern. There are quite a few bike lanes on these roads, Crown St having a bike lane all the way and a traffic speed limit of 40.

Hi, I'm cycling in to work tomorrow for the first time with the cycle to work thing. I live in Alexandria. If you do go via Bourke St give us a hoy so we can team up. I"m printing off maps even as we speak. I was thinking of going up Bourke St, crossing over cleveland then hanging left onto Crown then work my way from there...I need to get to North Sydney but am meeting work people at the Rocks ABC breakfast show.
